Our Magnum Rainbow Mermaid was a feast for the senses. Now, the Rainbow Yara goes a fantastic step further. The extraordinary pocketknife gets its name from the Mistress of the Water, the most feared siren of Brazilian mythology. It has a deep relief on both sides; the legendary mermaid is decorated with an elaborate two-tone finish on the front handle scale.The blade of stainless 440A steel is spring-loaded and opens with a flipper. It is secured with a sturdy linerlock. The embossed wave pattern on the blade face, the shell-shaped metal inlay and the elaborate filework on the spine and liners show the great attention to detail that went into this design. With a clip (tip-up).

Princess of the Seas

The Boker Mermaid remains the Queen of the Seas, but make way for Princess Yara! Behold what is truly an evolution in bold knife design. When I unboxed her, both my wife and unborn daughter wept with joy for her presence to grace our home, our neighbors spontaneously broke out into song and festivities were held in her honor for a fortnight. Gentle reader, I pray that you should be so worthy to experience Her Majesty if only for a moment. She WILL change your life.

Collection knife

This pairs well with the original Mermaid (still 440A blade steel) and for the price it's a no-brainer. It's about 3/4" shorter overall than the non-assisted original and the mermaids have gained a bit of detail (just ask the happy dolphins). The rainbow coloring is still as striking. Happy to add it to the collection.

It's an assisted opening, gas

It's an assisted opening, gas station knife with a topless mermaid, and the happiest dolphin you've ever seen. Who cares it's 440A or weighs a half a ton? For 20 bucks it's an excellent add to my collection.

This is not a carry knife for me. I was in the Navy and liked the nautical design. It is a display knife in my challenge coin case.
