The Perfect Carry
Distinctive, consistent, and timeless: the Boker Plus BabyX Flipper Steel bears the unmistakable DNA of Darriel Caston as a compact EDC knife with an industrial corrugated iron look. Far from the usual conventions, the designer has provided this pocket knife with impressive details that will inevitably raise the heartbeat of countless knife lovers. The ball-bearing sheepsfoot blade with a satin finish is made of the particularly hard-cutting D2 steel and can be opened either by flipper or by nail nick on both sides. Jimping on the back of the blade and the front flipper make it easier to use and, along with the discreet ricasso, are key design elements that are seamlessly continued in the stainless steel handle.

This was my first time

This was my first time buying off Kaviso very happy with how quickly I received my purchase.

As for the knife, I have liked some of D Rocket’s designs for some time but didn’t want to pay the high asking price for some of his customs. I’m also a nerd for anything space related, so I find the fact that this knife is based on a design commissioned for space X intriguing. The knife is small as expected, decent factory edge, packaged and machined well. My only complaint is that some of the sharp edges and gimping does sort of tear at your pocket when using the pocket clip. I much prefer carrying it in my 5th pocket. All things considered, I’m happy with Kaviso and the Baby X.
